We have too many editors subbing in on playback who don't do it often. As a result, I wind up cleaning the storage of video files that have been sitting on the computer and servers for two days because they recycle the wrong files. I've got to file through my backlog of sample scripts to send off to KUTV in Salt Lake and NBC Newschannel in Charlotte. They want samples, and quicklike, because they may have positions opening soon.

Not only do they have to send useless corporate emails to the entire fucking news staff, but the jobs site that NBC posts all jobs for its ONO (owned-and-operated) stations is being integrated into GE's job website, which will invariably be clunkier and more complicated than the NBC site. The folks at this station in Santa Maria sound like they want to hire me pretty badly. They're talking $30K as an annual base, with hourly overtime possibilities, plus full health and dental.
